Just an update
Busy week for us. We printed and mailed (with the help of some of the other parents at Holden's Daycare) approximately 300 donation solicitation letters for the 2nd Annual Arlington Care and Learn Trivia Night.
As we were folding letters, licking envelopes and organizing all of the letters, the T-Shirt fundraiser Julie spearheaded got the shipment of shirts in, so we weren't able to take the evening we were planning to have "off".
Now that these are done, we're waiting and hoping for donations to start rolling in. Also, I need to get in contact with the other folks who have volunteered to write questions and get started on the meat of the night and make sure that all of our categories are lined up.
Julie will be working again this weekend, it's been a tough few months for her, but she's getting a lot of recognition at work for all that she is doing there. Plus the extra cash from the overtime has garnered a lot of recognition at home.
Holden and I will have another "dude" day on Saturday with a run at the Hair Saloon for a Father/son haircut... including a scalp massage for me.
The only other bit of news is that I'm going to be writing a comic book for Dark Elf Designs, the company that is supposed to be publishing "The Sorrow" comic book.
There isn't much to tell about it yet, but it'll be a new title set within the realm of Greek mythology. I'm looking forward to digging into the old stories and putting a fun, adventurous slant on them.
That's all for the moment...
